Character Lessons for Deschooling
Make your season of deschooling really count by working on these three key character traits.
Deschooling is a season of time where we move away from thinking like schools and start to think about a homeschool lifestyle.
Welcome to listeners of the Start Homeschool Summit
Live life with your kids is a resource for all families who want to be intentional and relational in raising their family. As a homeschool family you have the opportunity to include education in the things you do as a family.
3 Character Traits
for a Strong Homeschool Start
Love, Responsibility and Enthusiasm are three traits that are necessary to make the most of the opportunities that Homeschooling gives you and your family.

In your season of ‘deschooling’ focus on these traits – take time to help your children grow from understanding these character traits to putting them into practice in their life. Character is not a head knowledge thing – it is living out our values so we want to see good choices and good habits forming in our lives and in the lives of our children.
Character is the Foundation
One of the things that we have seen over the years, in different spheres of our life, is talented people not reaching their potential because of character issues. We see it in politics, sport and sadly, in the church/ministry areas as well. Character is the ability to make choices that are in keeping with your personal value system. As we teach character to our kids, we are giving them the tools so they can become self motivated and self governed for the rest of their life.
Character education will give your children the tools they need for relationships and responsibility both as a student and as an adult.
During the Summit each session is available for FREE for 24 hours. If you miss the session you can buy the recordings (affiliate)
