Christmas time is about the heart – it is about what we believe about Jesus. As a Christian I celebrate the beginnings of God’s redemptive plan. As a Christian parent I want my children to understand God’s story; but I also want to build strong family memories. So in the midst of, or maybe in spite of, the rush and hustle of this time of year I want to pause and plan so I can be heart focused in all that we do.
Over the years I have blogged a lot about Christmas: about keeping Jesus in the center of our celebrations, about making it heart focused, along with making it a fun family time. So here is a collection of posts that focus on getting ready – getting ready to make your Christmas a heart focus time in your family.
Christmas time is a busy time – but we still need to be intentional about teaching and training our kids’ heart. Don’t be distracted by other things.
Since our grown kids already know the truths of Jesus that we celebrate at Christmas time our focus isn’t so much on learning, but living out our faith.
Being intentional starts with knowing your why – do you know why you celebrate Christmas?
