I don’t write on behalf of Character First –I am simply a mum who loves what their resources has done in our family.
Last week I wrote how we use Character First in our family – but it raised a few questions about different Character First products. So I’ve written a collection of posts outlining content and use of the different resources. If I’ve missed any please let me know and I’ll add to it.
The Online Guide is a membership subscription and it reflects the Business Bulletin though it adds a few thoughts for family application and discussion.
It does have a short video from the CEO Tom Hill, which my kids really enjoy – but it is set in a business setting. As my children have grown older this has given us an opportunity to talk about leadership in many contexts/situations.
The other benefit of the Online Guide is that you get access to all traits, regardless of the Business Bulletin focus for that month. In a family situation this is invaluable as you want to deal with issues as they come up not on a prescribed order.
My quick opinion of this is that it is worthwhile if you have older children, want to go digital, and are prepared to put in the prep work; which we should be doing for our own life anyway!! It is a good supplement and resource to have if you are using the Student Guides or Business Bulletin for older children. (In fact it could replace the Business Bulletin) But once again you have to decide how best to spend your money on the best combination that suits your family.
