We are still on holidays – in fact the rain is still around. North Queensland is flooded so our plans to go north and see family and show the kids some family history were abandoned. We stayed an extra week with Pete’s family. We are now holidaying with my family down on the coast – and were going to visit my Grandmother today but the roads are cut so we stay put. Lots of water!!
Over the last week I’ve slowly picked up reading my blog subscriptions again – here are a few I’ve enjoyed:
It is always encouraging to hear these young men speak
. I said to our family just the other day that we need to review the 5 hard things and see which one we have a tendancy towards avoiding as individuals and set our hearts towards working on that this year. We haven’t done this yet but it is in the back of my mind.
January is all about new beginnings, setting goals, writing plans. I read somewhere the other day that the difference between a dream and a goal is a plan. I usually spend time on our holidays to plan but my head isn’t there this year. I’ll have to do it once I’m all socialized-out.
The other thing January is all about is decluttering – it is as if Christmas time or holidays makes me see clutter differently and I want it gone. Thing is – this year I’m living out of a suitcase so I have the feelings but can’t do anything about it. Here are two links that inspired me though:
I’ve been trying to keep up with scrapbooking our holiday photos using Creative Memories Storybook Creator (digital scrapping). I so enjoy’s Bethany’s word art
. I have also been looking into more faithbooking inspiration. Faithsisters
is the best online that I’ve found so far. I’m going to try and journal (via digital scrapbooking) one scripture verse a week focusing on God’s goodness to us thanks to the Providence 365 prompts from Faithsisters.
