I am very thankful for all my visitors to Live life with my Kids – but especially to those who keep coming back, to those who leave comments and send me emails.  To you ladies (and some men) I thank you, it is your words of encouragement that keep me sharing my thoughts here in this blog.

I guess everyone shares ‘top 10 blog posts’ at the end of each year – and I’m no different.  Some of these posts surprised me, some I knew touched the heart of where my readers were at.  So if you missed any of these posts throughout the year – I hope your heart is encouraged, and your motivation is strengthened to live life with your kids – in an intentional and relational way!

—Giving Instructions to the Easily Distracted Child:   How we give instructions is one way to help our easily distracted child.

—Think Before Giving a Consequence:  The purpose of a consequence is to teach our child why and how to do the right thing so we must think before we act.

—Practice these 10 Habits and Build a Strong Marriage:  Habits reflect your values. When you practice these 10 habits you will build a strong marriage.

—How I use Google Calendar for my Digital Homemaker’s Binder: I have discovered Google Calendar as a way to make a digital homemaker’s binder – no more heavy binder to carry, and no more pieces of paper to print off!

—Capturing the Heart of a Strong Willed Child:  Parenting the strong willed child is about capturing their heart – just like any other child.

—5 Ways to Encourage your Kid’s Unique Talents: Each child has unique talents, abilities and interests – it is the parents job to help discover and encourage those skills to grow.

—Chores teach our Kids Character: Character is not head-knowledge; it is a life of making wise choices. Chore time gives children an opportunity to make those choices: to grow in character.

—Organising my Week to Meet my Goals: When I know my goals I can start organising my week to meet those goals instead of just following someone else’s system.

—How to Teach your Children to Work Hard:  Teaching our children to work hard is an important part of preparing them for their future but how do we do it when we don’t know what their future is?

—How to Deal with Inappropriate Verbal Behaviour:  The way our children communicate is an insight into their heart – we can teach and train their verbal behaviour as much as their physical behaviour.
