Not much reading going on this week! But here are a few places I’ve been
31 days of Spontaneous Organising – I have to laugh at this one – though I’ve loved the ideas and inspiration – not much spontaneity if I’m following her directions!! But I guess the idea is that we don’t over think and plan, just get in and do one task a day. This is certainly one challenge I’m going to bookmark and do sometime (….. sometime!!) but not in October!!
Can Labelling Children by their Behaviour be Harmful – I’d think so. But this was a good read. This was also something we talked about in our family this week – not so much with learning difficulty behaviour etc, but just behaviours people are characterised by – how can we label the behaviour without labelling the person!
Do it Today photo projects – I passed this onto a few of my kids who are interested in photography – once again, I’ve bookmarked it for inspiration for one of our study break times, when the kids are looking for something new and creative to work on.
Lego Education – I’ve been looking for something to expand Daniel’s love of lego so enjoyed reading this review on Lego Education WeDo Robots
This morning I’ve enjoyed reading my Jessica’s blog as she summarises her time over in Uganda.
And sad news in our family is that our dog went missing. So our breakfast discussion this morning will be about coming to terms with that and the possibility of a new dog. I was going to say – not life-shaping stuff that we usually talk about – but that would be wrong. Our dog was a part of our life, and talking about her, and her disappearance is touching our kids hearts. All a part of family life.
