Here are some of the places I’ve been online this last week:

I love this list of how students learn – I am sure as you read through this you will find many ways that your kids are learning outside of formal lessons.

Good to see simple games like hopscotch is still around.  For those who homeschool have you taught your kids those school yard games like marbles, elastics, handball etc?

Pepper Plate.  (recipe app)  I was moaning to my daughter Jessica about needing an app that I could type my own recipes into and she found Pepper Plate.  I’ve shared it with my sister and we are helping each other build up our online/digital recipe book.  I  love the features – I type up a recipe, plan my weekly menu, it calculates the shopping list (which I edit if I have things on hand), I can rearrange the shopping list to match the isles in my grocery store, I can share my recipes with others.  I am loving it!  (and just so you know… I am not an affiliate with Pepper Plate, just loving it!)

11 ways to Organise on the back of a door.   I haven’t done anything with these ideas yet (may never do anything to be honest) but I thought they were pretty clever use of space.

Love the creative thinking shared at Its the Little Things as she tries to motivate and encourage her little boys.

Naomi and I enjoyed looking at these art projects – Amazing Shoe Projects – but Daniel felt that they spoilt the joy of food!

And from Chalkboard Quotes I enjoyed several thoughts during the week – such as:

Watch your thoughts for they become words

Watch your words for they become actions

Watch your actions for they become habits

Watch your habits for they become character

Watch your character for it becomes your destiny

~Frank Outlaw

And for a bit of fun… here is a random photo taken from our family life:

we were so enjoying Beauty and the Beast (watching it for the first time) but the DVD was so scratched... we desperately tried a peanut butter solution... but though it improved it didn't work enough to finish the movie. We are half way! Now to find another copy....
