Tuesday – Our time with Character studies was brief today with just a revision of the Scripture memory, the memory verse (poem) and the definition.  Some of these also include Auslan (Sign language).  We reviewed signals that I could use, as their mum, to prompt them / warn them of approaching moral danger – or warn them that I am seeing their choices heading in an undesirable way!  They each completed their CF copy work.

Daniel worked on another Lentil Science task.  He loves the tasks – not loving the cleaning up part too much.  Character is as much the lesson as the pouring and observing.

We spent some time talking about the opportunity for an oral presentation at our Friday Co-op.  We discussed various choices they could make.  Josh and Jess read the relevant sections in their Writers Manual for preparing, organising and delivering a talk, speech or story.  Jessica has written an outline of her presentation.

Josh worked on the magazine and Chemistry Notebook page on the man who created the Periodical Table.

Nomi wrote a letter to a friend and started her story for the magazine.

Jessica helped me set up her assignment folder for the year.  This has all the various units and books she will be visiting this year.   It included the immediate lesson plans for her World History and General Science.

The afternoon was again spent with our visitors.  The girls have decided to write and perform a play at our Co-op in conjunction with the study of Cautiousness.  Nomi and AA dressed up in the hippest clothes they could find and did some major grooving and moving (or should I say groovin’ and movin’!).  They are trying to incorporate that into their play!
