Following up my comments about discipling my children I thought it would be good to record my day mainly to remind myself what my thoughts really look like.
Today we planned to go on a family tour of a few of the local tourist spots. We had a few reasons for doing this. One, our 12yo son has planned a week of visiting local attractions as a planning assignment I had given him. Two, I want to take photos of the area for my grandmothers 90th birthday. She is never going to get to this remote part of the country so an album will help her see where I live.
But none of that happened . Instead we had some table time where the 3 oldest worked on some notebook pages. 12yo son did some research on pantheism / paganism especially in connection to slavery. 10yo daughter related the lessons learnt from Sauls disobedience and not killing all the Agagites Haaman was an Agagite! 8yo daughter wrote 2 narrations on 2 dog stories she has recently read, along with 2 copy draws of those dogs. 6yo son did a colouring-in of David and Goliath and later in the day I was able to encourage him to pray, just like David did, when big things seem too hard (he was disappointed that he couldnt juggle but after thinking about David and praying he gave it a shot!)
So all in all we had a great day together. Plus we all learnt flexibility!
